BIOGRAPHY

Cillian Altan McFadden Rohan, is a 20 year old actor

and writer from the city of Galway in the west of Ireland.

He was born in London and grew up in central Switzerland.

Cillian is currently studying Acting and Performance at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, England

where he will graduate in June 2024. 

Cillian has a diverse range of acting skills, while having a main interest in performing contemporary theatre Cillian is also experienced in screen acting, improvisation, and radio performance. Cillian has taken an interest in theater styles, from a wide range of cultures, including Japanese Kabuki

and Indian Kathakali.  Through researching social realism,

as well as social absurdism as part of his undergraduate studies Cillian has gained an interest in performance work that addresses social and mental issues that people face.

This interest was explored in his one man show The Math Test, in which he examined the effects of ADHD and anxiety. 

 

Cillian’s passion for theatre stems from seeing the works of Enda Walsh, Brain Watkins, and other Irish playwrights, at the Galway International Festival, where he volunteered as an usher at multiple shows in 2023. Cillian also does theatrical work with children, such as volunteering at the Farnham Maltings Youth Theater, and teaching singing and dancing

to children when working for Star Camps in Ireland.

After finishing his undergraduate Cillian plans to return to Galway, and pursue a career in Ireland's historical and growing theater scene, with interest in performing in theaters across the country. Cillian is seeking representation within Ireland.

He is currently working on devolving his final major project further from his university studies, with intention of mounting

a public production in 2025.
